PBC Real Estate Advisors Inc., through its joint venture operating under the brand Résidences des Bâtisseurs, acquired a portfolio of seniors residences in the Saguenay region of Québec on December 23, 2022.

The acquisition increased PBC’s Québec seniors housing portfolio by approximately 600 units, bringing its total units to over 4,000 across 17 residences, surpassing the initial goal of the fund when it was created in 2017.

The portfolio is comprised of three properties: Villa des Orchidées and Villa des Sables located in Jonquière, and Villa Saint-Alexis located in La Baie. The properties offer a mix of independent and care units, along with numerous common spaces, a comprehensive list of care services, and a central kitchen serving each of the residences.

PBC and its joint venture partner intend to gradually enhance the supply and quality of services and care post-acquisition in order to optimize vacant common area space and create an inclusive, safe, and fun living environment for our residents.
